Cherie Leeden Drawing has been a passion of mine and I am pleased to be able to return to drawing after many years of teaching. After studying at Swinburne Technical school that specialized in Art I developed a real interest in TV and set design as well as Fine Art.  I eventually decided on Prahran  to study with lecturers such as Paul Cox, Sandra Levison,  Fred Cress and Pam Hallandal. It was an inspiring time and much was learnt with technique and an understanding of the journey of some of the great artists of our past and present such as Durer, Lucian Freud, Rick Amor, Sydney Long, Joy Hester, Gustav Klimt and many more. I love texture and working directly onto canvas, I enjoy charcoal and the mix of paint, pencil and pastel together. I hope to grow and develop with my art over the next decade.

Jade Lees-Pavey An emerging artist, Jade is continually experimenting in 2D format, combining different mediums to achieve a desired outcome.  Charcoal, Pencil, Acrylic and Oil paint, collage and Printmaking combine to produce works across varied themes; with favorite images coming from Life Drawing studies and Nature.Influences arise from contemporary Australian and New Zealand artists both colonial and indigenous, and European Masters post Impressionism.  Craft arts also inspire as functional art encourages use of natural fibres and recycled materials.

Imants Niedra  Latvian decent, Imants is a self taught artist who has lived on the peninsula for many years.  Using acrylics his paintings express an optimistic, uncomplicated approach with confident brush strokes of either buttery texture or smooth fine detail, but this aparent simplicity is the result of careful consideration that he gives to his spatial aspects and composition.  He paints quickly as the mood takes him, with deft brush-strokes and harmonious colour schemes.

Belinda Nye After spending 25 years as a photographer, Belinda Nye or BillyLee has embraced the art of printmaking reinterpreting the photographic image to a new medium. Belinda states that the act of carving the plate, of rolling on the ink and of pulling the print is all part of an expressive and very personal dance, describing the excitement of lifting the blankets and paper to reveal the print as “visceral”.

Margo Vigorito has had the enjoyment of pursuing her passion for the past 40 years.  She describes herself as a self-developing artist who still marvels at the creative process. Once again settle in Mornington after many years overseas, she continues to explore new techniques to share with her students.  Margo paints and draws all subjects including portraits, still life, landscapes and most recently she has gathered enought courage to break out into abstract work. Margo hopes you enjoy viewing her work as much as she has enjoyed creating it.

Jo Wreford began painting with a group in Merricks and this has become a prime activity for her, with a preference for portraiture and local seascapes.  Jo has entered the Archibald twice, in 2010 and 2011 and was selected both times for the "Victorian Hidden Faces" exhibition at the Melbourne Hilton.  Now a commssioned portrait painter, Jo's first solo exhibition "Port Phillip Bay and Beyond, shows a wonderful selection of her oil paintings of Sorrento and surrounds.
