Booking an Exhibition at Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Gallery.

Proposal Guide: Oak Hill Gallery is accepting Proposals for 2011.

OAK HILL GALLERY IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING EMERGING AND PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS.

OUTLINE

The Gallery has five rooms available for Exhibition space. Rooms 1,2,3 and 5 are available for rent at $400 per month and Room 4 is available at $300.

• The Gallery provides Invitations for the Exhibition and delivers these to Peninsula outlets.
• Line advertising in  art Almanac and editorial in the Leader Newspaper along with advertising with 3RPP.
• Volunteers staff the Gallery for the month however we do require the artist to also staff the gallery during the month.
• Catalogues and paperwork are completed when the exhibition has been curated and hung.
• Work is taken down and organised for pick up.
• The Gallery has a very professional approach to curating and hanging, however the team is always willing to work with the artist to ensure a very successful exhibition.

PROCESS TO APPLY

• Download “Proposal to Exhibit Form” complete and return with ideas and concept theme behind the exhibition.  Email or deliver 5 images that are related as directly as possible to your proposal as a jpeg to the Gallery Coordinator Cherie Leeden.

• On acceptance of work secure your booking with a non refundable deposit of $100.

• Download “Artist Agreement or Group Agreement” and complete with final non refundable payment 6 weeks prior to your Exhibition. Return to Gallery Coordinator.

• Complete List of works with Title, Medium, Dimensions and Price, Artist Statement and Artist CV to the Gallery 3 weeks prior to the Exhibition.

• Delivery of work: Work is to be delivered Thursday afternoon prior to the Exhibition between the hours of 1pm – 4pm. Artists need to ensure that the work is dry and ready to be hung with an acceptable hanging system.

• Collection of Unsold Work: Work needs to be collected by the due date as the Gallery has no secure storage area. Work that is not collected will become the property of the Gallery and will be disposed of by the Gallery.
